Cloud Storage - What is it and how do I use it?

Have you ever been at home and needed to transfer files between computers but realized you don't have a USB? This is where cloud storage becomes your greatest friend.

Instead of saving your files to you local computer, cloud storage allows you to upload the file to the 'cloud' (a specific place on the internet) where you can access the file at a later time, from anywhere. It saves a lot of time and makes accessing your files a breeze.

Most cloud services have apps for both Android phones and iPhones giving you the ability to quickly access your files on the go!

Another advantage of cloud storage is as an external backup for you files. If you ever have an issue where your file is lost or corrupted, you can just re-download it from the cloud.

	Dropbox Dropbox offers free accounts with 2GB of storage space. It has a program for both OS X and Windows. Dropbox also offers a mobile app for Android devices and iOS devices.
	Box.net Box is very similar to Dropbox and has free accounts offering 5GB of storage space. Even though it offers more space than a Dropbox account it doesn't have the OS X or Windows program.
